Erik Frennberg

“The guitar is a miniature orchestra in itself.” ― Ludwig van Beethoven

Erik Frennberg grew up surrounded by music. Inspired by his father, who dedicated his life to the classical guitar, Erik started his musical journey, studying classical guitar for ten years. He continued playing acoustic and electric guitar as well as keys, bass, mandolin, and ukulele in several groups and in different genres. For twenty years Erik has been part of the Gothenburg music scene, and he has been playing almost every stage there is, from big arenas like Ullevi and Scandinavium to churches and smaller pubs.

At the Academy of Music and Drama at the University of Gothenburg he studied jazz guitar and graduated in Music, Health studies and Pedagogy 2010.

Since 2002 he has taught music at Kvarnby music school and has written, arranged, recorded and produced music in a wide range of genres.

For many years, he has been teaching guitar in groups, online, and in person. Erik speaks Swedish and English and gives courses in classical guitar as well as rock / jazz guitar, beginner to intermediate.
